Broward County Ribbon Curring Ceremony

Boys Town South Florida Inaugurates a New Office in Plantation

Boys Town South Florida hosted a Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony and the Halls of Hope Reveal on November 14th, 2024, at a new centralized location in Plantation, FL. Our staff and board were excited to welcome attendees to the new office, and to share how we are changing the way American cares for children and families in Broward County.

The new office has a conference room that can be used for our parenting classes, and being in a centralized location within the county, it will be easier for clients, partners, current and future staff to access. In 2023, the Broward staff served and impacted more than 900 children with the Boys Town’s skills-building sessions, home visiting services, parenting classes, and school-based programs. In 2024, growth was part of our leadership focus, and through a new partnership with the Broward County Coalition, our Care Coordination Services program will expand in 2025 to serve more children and families.

“Our commitment to partnering with other agencies, schools, and funders to help more children and families in Broward County has never been stronger,” said Bethany Lacey, Executive Director of Boys Town South Florida.  “With a more centralized location, we hope to broaden our reach and impact in helping youth be better off.”

We are grateful for our presenting sponsor, Florida Power & Light, and additional sponsors who have enabled us to host an event and reveal our programs displays for the community. Additionally, we send a special thank you to our guests who attended the inauguration, including Mayor of Plantation Nick Sortal; Angelica Rosas from the Community Foundation of Broward; Brandon Johnson from the Broward County Commission; Derick Swarr and his team from AB Enzymes; Guillermo Valdes from Insperity; board member Vanessa Steelman; and the Chamber of Commerce of Plantation and their ambassadors. Everyone filled the event with a spirit of positivity and warmth that was unmatched.

If you were unable to attend the event but would like to walk in our Halls of Hope, we’d love to show you our wall displays featuring children and family testimonies and pictures, and valuable outcomes of our programs. Please call 561.612.6007 or email InfoSFL@boystown.org to set up a tour.
