Kicking Off the Summer with a Great Book! Boys Town North Florida’s Annual Book Fair

On June 29, Boys Town North Florida (BTNF) held its Annual Book Fair and Book-Nic. The event is a fun-filled way to promote and support summer reading for BTNF youth. In its fifth year, the themed event, held at BTNF’s ART Town facility, was once again a resounding success.

The event featured a wide selection of diverse books from various genres, including fiction, non-fiction, graphic novels and children’s literature, providing youth with an opportunity to choose from the latest releases and timeless classics. Although it was a difficult choice for many, each youth selected three to four books to kick off their summer reading. This year’s event was sponsored by BTNF’s Book Fair and Book-Nic Friends, Eduprehd Research & Development Partners and Color in STEM. A special thanks to Marcus Lampkin Jr. who was a volunteer and student co-chair for this year’s event.

“The book fair is always a fun way to promote and instill the importance of reading for the kids, which makes it a success!” said Marcus Lampkin Sr., Boys Town North Florida Executive Director.
