Boy’s Town Nevada Board Member and avid golfer Daniel Chung will be hosting the 3rd annual Chung Strategic Solutions Golf Invitational to benefit Boys Town on Saturday, October 12.
Since meeting Boys Town Nevada’s Executive Director John Etzell in 2019, Daniel has been a committed Board Member always looking for ways to increase community awareness of the organization. The work of Boys Town and its mission continues to inspire Daniel and his desire to make a bigger impact in the community.
With his love for golf and his passion for Boys Town, Daniel began the Chung Strategic Solutions Golf Invitational in 2022 to benefit the organization. The event has brought awareness to communities in Southern Nevada, such as the Sun City community, where the event has been held since its inception.
“The golf tournament is a way we can create a win-win situation,” Daniel said. “I love golf and Boys Town Nevada needs more awareness from the community. The more the community knows about Boys Town, the more they can help us, and in return, Boys Town can continue to help children and families.”
The tournament, to be held at Palm Valley Summerlin Golf Club, will be a four-player best-ball scramble format with many contests taking place before and during the event. Contests include a putting contest, four hole-in-one opportunities, men’s and women’s longest drives, 1st,2nd, and 3rd place team prizes, and a $100,000 shootout with the prize money to be shared between the winning player and Boys Town Nevada. A raffle and silent auction will be held during the awards dinner immediately following the tournament.
Daniel is anticipating this year’s event to be the biggest and best one yet.
“We have been getting ready since last year’s tournament, and there is a committee to help make sure it runs smoothly,” he said. “There’s better preparation, and we have more experience.”
