Building Strong Communities that Bring Families Together
At Boys Town Louisiana, we have been providing youth and family care services in the New Orleans community for more than 30 years. One of our newest partnerships is My Community Cares (MCC).
What is MCC?
My Community Cares (MCC) is a neighborhood-based approach on a mission to strengthen families and prevent child abuse and neglect in the State of Louisiana.
Community members and child advocacy agencies are working together to provide a network of support and quality services that:
- Promote child and family well-being
- Prevent children from entering the foster care system
How are MCC and Boys Town Louisiana working together?
Working with the My Community Cares program, Boys Town Louisiana is providing individualized case management services to families involved, or at risk of becoming involved, with the child welfare or juvenile justice system.
To help build skills to improve family safety, functioning and overall well-being, the program offers a range of public family support services including:
- Parenting Classes
- Workshops
- Access to resources and tools
