BOLD - Black Organization for Leadership Development, Member Spotlight
Hi, I'm Nicole Evans and I'm a native of Pittsburgh PA. Currently, live in Tallahassee and work at the North Florida Site.Boys Town North Florida has been my home for nearly 8 years. In my current role as a Parent Trainer, I work to help families find the tools to deal with their child's behaviors. I am also a BOLD Committee Chair member. In addition to my role at Boys Town, I am a full-time student working on my Master's in Child, Youth, and Family Studies at Bellevue University.Family is important to me so when I'm not working or studying my time is spent with my partner and 2-year-old daughter Harley. So when I think of what black history month means to me it's American history. It's understanding the truth about who we are, where we come from, and how we've been impacted. Our History is rich. It's full of innovators, educators, entrepreneurs, artists, warriors, businessmen, and women. Black History Month is a celebration of culture, values, appreciation, and a vibe.
