"This is the cottage Father Flanagan was born into. He lived here with his parents, grandparents and 10 siblings, so quite a crowd in a building this size. It was a house full of music and it was what we call a rambling house in Ireland where neighbours rambled in and chatted about the day and played music and danced on the floor."

"We had some of our boys go to the FBI. We had J. Edgar Hoover, a good friend of Father Flanagan, he said, are any of the boys possible FBI agents? And Father said yes, so six boys went back with him and became FBI agents."

"We've helped hundreds of boys. This house gives them a safe place to sleep every night. Sometimes we've had boys that have come to us that have never had a safe place to sleep or maybe their safe place was moving from one couch to another or staying with a relative. This gets to be their spot where they always get to be and they don't have to worry about where they are going to lay their head that night."
