Boys Town is proud to announce the appointment of Troy Wharton as Superintendent and Vice President of Education Services.
Troy joined Boys Town in 2021 as the Director of Student Affairs for Boys Town Schools and has served as Interim Superintendent since May 2024. With a long career in education as a teacher and administrator, Troy has held leadership positions at Roncalli Catholic School, Jesuit Academy, Creighton Preparatory School, Mission Middle School, and Bellevue West High School.
"Troy brings a wealth of knowledge with his educational background, teaching experience, and leadership expertise," said Monty Horine, Senior Vice President of Governance and Strategy and Chair of the Boys Town Education Committee. "He is highly collaborative, an effective communicator, and committed to educational excellence. Most importantly, he is deeply dedicated to Boys Town's mission, connecting with students, and partnering with teachers to create a supportive and effective learning environment."
Troy holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Creighton University, a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Doane College, and a Specialist in Education degree from Wayne State College. As Superintendent, Troy looks forward to continuing to enhance the educational experiences for Boys Town students and working closely with staff to ensure a thriving, mission-driven school environment.
