Collaboration: Partnering with national experts

The Boys Town Speaker Series

Collaboration with nationally recognized experts enables Boys Town to stay on the cutting edge of child and family care research. One way external research is integrated into Boys Town programs is through the National Research Institute Speaker Series. This venue invites nationally and internationally recognized experts to exchange ideas and provide advice to Boys Town staff and administrators on a regular basis.

Third-Party Partnerships

The NRI pursues strategic partnerships with researchers in universities and other organizations. A formal partnership currently exists with the Center for At-Risk Children’s Services at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (www.unl.edu/cacs). As a result, university research faculty members are engaged in several Boys Town research projects.

Scientific Advisory Panel

The Scientific Advisory Panel was created to provide strategic counsel to ensure Boys Town’s research remains on the cutting edge and that we continue to bridge the gap between research and practice. The panel includes nationally prominent researchers in the fields of child welfare, mental health, juvenile justice and education.
